Saint Paul de Vence is a fortified village. The village once had a fortified castle, of which all that remains today is the keep. As for the Pénitents Blancs chapel, it has stood since the 17th century, but was decorated by artist Jean-Michel Folon in 2000.

Three other places make the village special: the place de la grande fountainthe mill and the garden of the Maeght Foundation.
